Memorial Day previously called Decoration Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died while serving in the military of the United States. Unfortunately, too many in our country take for granted our freedoms and the last thing on their hearts and minds over the Memorial Day weekend is honoring and remembering those who gave their lives so that they can celebrate.

We need to teach our children and frankly the adults, the history of Memorial Day. We need to instill in them the principle of honoring those who have gone before us to fight for our freedoms. Too many believe that they are entitled to everything. They never take the time to consider, truly consider, why they have so many privileges. Maybe the following cartoons and images will make the message clearer.

The first problem is that as a parent it is my responsibility to take care of my children, not the governments. My husband and I are the ones who decide what our children eat and what exercise they get. We don’t want the government involved any more than they already are.

Government involvement usually spells disaster. The diets of American citizens are not the place for government involvement.

This leads me to why I think they are doing this in the first place. They want more power. They want to take away more freedoms and make us more dependent on the government. A little socialism here, a little communism there. Little by little they will have the power they want. This is just part of the master plan to “transform America”.

We as Americans need to stay awake. We need to protect our freedoms. If I want to eat a Twinkie then I’ll eat a Twinkie. I will pay the consequences if I shouldn’t have eaten it. That’s between God and me. Not the government and me.

Simply and logically put, POLITICS!

These girls our being used to spread a few people’s opinions about the illegal immigration law that Arizona just signed. Basketball has absolutely nothing to do with the illegal immigrant issue. And the administration at the school wants to defend their decision by stating that they are afraid of what might happen.

This is ludicrous!

This has nothing to do with the safety of the girls or for the school. It has to do with the agenda of some of the administration and how they feel about the immigration law. They want to boycott Arizona, plain and simple. I say, fine. You stay out of Arizona, administration. I am sure Arizona would be happy to know that you were nowhere near its borders.

As for these girls, they need to find a way to get to the tournament that they have worked so hard for.

Why would we give this man the time of day and yet we shun anyone who wants to secure our borders, calling them racists? None of this makes sense and it infuriates me.

Mexico is riddled with crime. It’s out of control. It isn’t exactly a beacon of hope in the world. And yet the President of Mexico is allowed to speak before our congress and spout off his advice to us. And he gets applause from the democrats for berating our state of Arizona. We should be standing up for Arizona, not allowing an outsider to come in and belittle its stand on upholding the law of the land.

Something stinks here. And I am tired of it. I am fed up with the arrogance on Capitol Hill and the White House. They weren’t elected to bully us around or to play the games that they are playing. They are making a mockery out of our great country and they need to be stopped. The citizens of the United States deserve better. Our leaders are elected to serve us and to protect us.

Are you protecting us when you allow President Calderon to come into our country and berate us? No.

This is our land, our laws, our people. You come here, you come legally. If you want to live here you have to abide by the laws or you pay the consequences. I don’t care if you are Irish, Middle Eastern, Asian, Mexican, German, Russian, etc. The laws of the United States are the laws. They don’t apply to some and not the others. So if you can’t live here legally, then get out. Just keeping it simple.

Listen to your citizens Washington D.C. because we aren’t the “dummies” you thought we were.

We have all had enough. The government has absolutely no constitutional right to bar me from praying when and where I want to. I am tired of “moments of silence”. It is nothing more than a political correct word. Those who don’t believe in prayer are still not praying and those of us who do are. Those who don’t feel comfortable praying don’t have to. That is the freedom we cherish in the U.S. But I have the freedom to pray and our senior citizens certainly should too.

This is absolutely ludicrous.

This is nothing new, though. Since the beginning, those who followed God have been persecuted and ridiculed. We have been asked to bow down to other gods. We have been made to be slaves for pagan countries. Many have given up their lives, proudly, because of the name of Christ.

All these issues we are facing today in the U.S. and around the world, I believe, all come back to God. That is the lack of fear for our Creator and the lack of belief that He even exists. Socialism, communism, evolution, humanism, relativism, Marxism, Nazism, etc. all find their roots in atheism. The Foundation that sustains is not there. No hope. No peace. No faith. Nothing. With no purpose for life, then there becomes no regard for anyone else’s life in all areas of life. It’s a vicious cycle that only Jesus can stop and heal.

So you see, it is people who have no concept of true Freedom in Jesus, that want to limit our constitutional freedoms and shut us up. It’s really an attack on God. I do believe God prepared us for this in the Words of the Bible.

This talk got me thinking. Am I raising my boys to grow up to be “mom” dependant? Am I teaching them that it is okay to not take the lead and that the woman in the house will do everything for them?

Now, I know that the whole talk was on marriage, but why would a married man have this attitude, if it didn’t start when he was young and at home.

Boy that was a wakeup call. I don’t know exactly what my plan of attack is, but I know that I want to raise strong young men who are leaders. Only with God’s help and of course the leading and insight from my husband will this be possible.

Children are a blessing, but it takes a lot of hard work. Our children are worth it, though. I can’t imagine life without them.

President Obama didn’t disappoint. Well, actually it is quite sad, because he said lie after lie after lie. This is our President, people. This just isn’t acceptable. Not for one minute.

He talked about himself over and over again. Then he would bash President Bush for the mess he left him in charge of only to follow that up with a token sentence on the Constitution. Then we would be back to pushing his progressive agenda. Then he would align himself with President Kennedy and Reagan. Excuse me; you have got to be kidding me!

The speech was full of arrogance and not so subtle jabs.

President Obama had the audacity to reprimand the justices and all they could do is just sit there and take it and listen to the congressmen applaud Obama’s remarks. If you watched carefully, though, you would have seen honest reaction from Justice Alito when he shook his head and said “that’s not true”.

Our President is completely out of control in my mind, but in his own mind this is all part of his plan. We aren’t stupid. We see through all of the double talk. We know what is true and what isn’t. We are tired of hearing the whining about what was inherited. We’re tired of the bullying tactics.

Progressives have tried the same things over and over and over. They don’t work.

This speech was full of lies, “campaign” promises, blame, hate, anger, reprimanding, but if you listened carefully you would hear an overlying consistency; government is the answer to all problems, people who make money are the problem and the rest of us are all stupid and in need of government help.

I could go on and on about the content of the speech, but it can all be summed up in one word or maybe two: Progressive Liar. Just keeping it simple.

Tiger, I hope you got the message. People do care about you. Jesus cares even more. You won’t find that anywhere else or from anything else.

The context of this passage takes place after the great flood. Noah and his family, along with all of the animals have left the ark. Noah has built an altar and made a sacrifice to the Lord. God was pleased with Noah and said the following.

“I will never again curse the earth, destroying all living things, even though people’s thoughts and actions are bent toward evil from childhood. As long as the earth remains, there will be springtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, day and night.” (Genesis 8:21-22)

You can’t get any clearer than that.

For those who put their trust and faith in the Lord, this is comforting and freeing. For those who are searching these words will hopefully make them think, and unfortunately for those who want nothing to do with God, they will only fight it, deny it, or run. In my simple and common sense way of thinking and doing, I just say, God said it, I believe it, case closed. God’s Word has always stood the test and it will in this case too.

So do you really want to believe all of the Global Warming hype led by people who don’t even follow their own advice and get rich off of this joke, or will you realize contrary to world belief, God is still in control and always will be?

This president isn’t for changing who he is, he is for changing who America is. When people truly change their belief system, you know by their actions and who they hang around with. Do you think Obama is willing to gut his whole administration and friends?

Absolutely not!  He is a Progressive.

He thinks that the only way to take care of problems is to grow the government bigger, because they are the only smart ones who can make things brighter in the world.  Progressives believe that it is all of us “stupid” people who are getting in the way.

So don’t buy into this centrist approach he might be eloquently waxing tomorrow evening. It’s just talk to distract the weak. Be strong, people. Use common sense. Don’t lose track of what is important and don’t play into the Progressives hands.

Call a spade a spade, as I tell my children all the time. He is what he is and he absolutely knows what he is up to; intentionally transforming America into a Progressive Utopia.
